Upcoming VIRTUAL Relationship Workshops: TBD
The Seven Principles Program for Couples
Are you having trouble communicating or truly understanding each other? Do you find yourselves stuck in the same arguments, going in circles without resolution? Or maybe your relationship is strong, and you’d like to deepen your connection even further.
This workshop is designed to help couples build clearer communication, strengthen emotional connection, and develop practical tools they can use in everyday life—whether you’re working through challenges or simply want to grow closer.
This two-day couples workshop is led by the area’s only Gottman Leader and is built on decades of research about what truly helps relationships work. Based on Dr. John Gottman’s book, The Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work, the workshop offers practical tools in a relaxed, supportive setting—giving couples space to slow down, better understand each other, and strengthen their connection in meaningful ways.
What Will Be Presented In This Class
The Seven Principles Program offers practical, research-based tools to help couples strengthen their friendship, deepen emotional connection, and improve how they handle conflict. You’ll gain new insight into your relationship and learn skills that support healthier, more respectful communication.
The class includes teaching, demonstrations, and guided one-on-one exercises where you and your partner work privately on your relationship. Your personal discussions stay between the two of you—confidentiality is strictly respected.
You’re welcome to ask questions or share comments, but there is no pressure to speak or participate out loud. Many couples find it helpful simply to listen, reflect, and practice the skills together at their own pace.
Key Take-Aways From This Workshop
Rebuild a sense of respect, affection, and closeness at a pace that feels right for you.
Better understand each other’s inner world—thoughts, feelings, and needs—without pressure or blame.
Have difficult conversations in ways that feel calmer, safer, and more productive.
Gently move out of stuck patterns and long-standing conflicts.
Strengthen the progress you make so positive changes last beyond the class.

Is This Workshop Right for Us?
The Gottman Seven Principles Program is designed for couples in committed relationships who want to strengthen their connection, improve communication, or learn healthier ways to manage conflict.
This Workshop Will Be A Good Fit If You Are:
Married, engaged, pre-engaged, or in a long-term committed relationship
Newly together or have been partners for many years
Looking to strengthen an already “good” relationship
Wanting practical tools to improve communication and manage conflict
Curious about couples therapy but not ready for weekly sessions
From any background, age, faith, or sexual orientation
This workshop is educational and skills-based, not therapy. Because of that, it may not be the right setting if there is ongoing emotional abuse, domestic violence, unwanted sexual contact, or active substance abuse. In those situations, individual or couples therapy can offer the safety and support that’s needed first.
If you’re unsure whether this workshop is a good fit, you’re welcome to reach out and ask questions before registering.
Additional Workshop Information
This couples workshop is presented in a seminar format and is designed to be educational rather than therapeutic. While it offers research-based information and practical relationship tools, it is not a substitute for couples therapy.
For those who feel they need more personalized support, we also offer in-person and virtual couples therapy, consultations, and additional resources through Connections Counseling Service, LLC.
The material in this workshop is grounded in well-established research and clinical principles. That said, every relationship is unique, and there is no guarantee that the workshop will address all concerns or meet every couple’s specific needs.
If you have questions about whether this workshop is the right fit for you, we encourage you to reach out before registering.
